This piece is inspired by the ‘Xochipilli’ card of the Jade Oracle deck. Xochipilli is the god of flowers, dancing, feasting, painting, and game playing in Aztec mythology
Text from their booklet:
The statue of Xochipilli is covered with flowers from psychotropic plants. Associated with the “niños santos” hallucinogenic mushrooms, he is said to be in trance.
When he appears, you are reminded to immerse yourself in beauty, and the grand mystery of the cosmos. Leave the material world behind and connect with the multidimensional universe within you. Consider leaving the world behind for a bit and connecting with the divine.
This is the first piece in a planned-for series of Aztec Mythology
