Made a whole theme change from WP’s block theme twentytwentyfive to building a theme from scratch (using sage)!
Design + coding by yours truly 😊😌 Assets are all mine except for some paper textures which i use for the rounded backgrounds.

Structural changes include:

• Moved “Offering” posts from its own post type to “Extras” – moved some blog posts here too that are specifically about learning a new art technique / process
• Renamed “Portfolio/Pieces” custom post type to “Visual Art/Pieces” (plural/singular)
• Created “Sketchbook” and “Crafts” post types to display specific visual-art content, Crafts has its own taxonomy “Craft Type”
• Homepage is set to load any recent posts of both “piece” and “zine” types
• (not visible from the front end) made “zines” and “portfolio” load their actual archive views rather than a page with the query loop block
• Added a new “Zine type”/ section under Zines, where i plan to share the zines i only offer for trade – and planning on posting free printable PDFs for some of them
• Pintalucha Letters is the default Blog page, with a sidebar on the right to display sign up forms and all posts

Mostly changed the homepage to show content more simplified – removed the “xyz about me” from there and moved to its own About page

Some big changes in the works, currently coding a WordPress theme from scratch and planning to launch January 2026! 🙂

Back here adding a little something to my website 🙂 – specifically structure updates (though i’m planning on updating portfolio soon).

Adjusted layout design to keep consistent for Art, Zines, and art tag archive views

A small looks-lift :). Added an “enter” view as homepage , which takes you to a “casita view” that shows all my work (arts, zines, offerings). Most pages except for singles and “casita” view now have a sidebar with recent updates + embedded blue sky feed! I thiiink that’s it lol

• Removed “Tiendita” section from homepage
• Removed ability to see individual portfolio posts , changed art/ portfolio page to include photos instead of links to individual posts in most cases (this change was made last month but forgot to update here)
• Embedded mastodon feed to update section in homepage

Added Migration is Older than Borders piece 🙂

Structure updates

• Added “Change Logs” as a new post type (this right here!) and a now and ai page to borrow from IndieWeb concepts
• Renamed  “Crafts & 3D” portfolio category to “Sculpture & 3D” and added a separate page for Crafts

Technical updates I split up how i post different kinds of content – instead of it all living under “Posts”, there’s Art (Pieces), Zines, Offerings besides regular blog posts now. I’m also working on re-indie-webifying this site. I get a bit lost on the technical details so this one will be an ongoing project. Here’s some more info about Indie Web for folks who aren’t familiar.

Other updates I updated the general layout of homepage and multiple pages, removed main menu in the header and added images for navigation instead for home, all Art and all Zines pages. Added a small bio in the homepage and updated the logo 🙂
